On June 20, The Independent was honoured with four Atlantic Journalism Awards for our work.

Derek Montague and Justin Brake won Gold in the Enterprise Reporting (Print/Digital) category for their coverage of the Labrador obstetrician/gynecologist who was allowed to continue practicing while under investigation following complaints from at least 20 women.
