Men of N.L.: I want to hear from you!

We’re making a new podcast exploring what it means to be a man in NL today and the experiences that shape men’s lives

I’m Ana Maria, a journalist with The Independent, and I’m currently talking with men across Newfoundland and Labrador for an upcoming limited series podcast exploring what it means to be a man here today and the experiences that shape men’s lives.

I’m curious to hear your stories about work, family, friendship, fatherhood, emotions, identity, belonging, or simply what being a man means to you.

If you’d like to chat with me, or if you know someone who might be interested in sharing their story, I’d love to hear from you!

Get in touch at ana.maria@theindependent.ca, or DM me on Instagram. Please reach out by Oct. 25, 2026.

Will you stand with us?
