Research Assistant

Position: Research Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs)
Location: Newfoundland & Labrador / Remote
Hours: 35 hours/week
Pay: $20/hour
Type: 8-week contract

Start date: As early as May 4, 2026 (flexible)

About the Job
The Research Assistant will conduct research, provide analysis and recommendations for features and content on our website, and draft infographics and other visual aids for articles.

- Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Research (via internet, archives, etc.);
- Proven ability to work independently;
- Knowledge of Newfoundland and Labrador issues and politics;
- Some understanding of government policy-making;
- Good organizational skills;
- Track record of meeting deadlines.
